Le Parc

Julio Le Parc was one of the most influential figures in contemporary kinetic and optical art. Born in Argentina and based in Paris since the late 1950s, his work explored light, movement, and the viewer's participation.

Trained at the National School of Fine Arts in Argentina, Le Parc began early on to question the traditional structures of art and the relationship between the artwork and the public. His arrival in Paris marked a turning point in his career, bringing him closer to the visual and experimental investigations that defined much of his artistic output.

Through installations, sculptures, and light compositions, Le Parc explored how movement, reflections, and optical effects transform the perception of space. His works invited the viewer to actively interact, making the visual experience a central element of the piece.

With an international career spanning more than six decades, Julio Le Parc established himself as an essential figure in experimental and contemporary art.
